FoxStream is designed to be read, not to track readers. This policy explains — in plain language — the little data we handle and the much larger amount we deliberately don't.

What we don't collect

  • No analytics. We use no Google Analytics or any other analytics service. We don't know how many people read a page, where they came from, or what they clicked.
  • No tracking pixels or session recording. Nothing on this site watches you browse.
  • No advertising cookies. There are no ad networks on this site, and none of their cookies.
  • No accounts. There's nothing to sign up for, so no account data exists.
  • No sale of personal information. We have nothing to sell, and we wouldn't sell it if we did.

What we do collect, and why

Contact form messages

If you write to us through the contact form, we receive your name, email address, chosen topic, optional device model, and message. We use this solely to reply to you. Messages are retained only as long as needed to handle your request, then deleted. We never add you to a mailing list — we don't run one.

Server logs

Like every website, our hosting server keeps standard technical logs (IP address, browser type, pages requested) for security and troubleshooting. These logs are not combined with any other data and are rotated automatically.

Affiliate link clicks

When you click an Amazon link, you leave our site. Amazon may record that you arrived from FoxStream (that's how commissions work). Amazon's own privacy policy governs what they collect from that point; we receive only commission reports, never your purchase details or identity.

Cookies

This site sets no non-essential cookies and uses no cookie banner because none is needed. Our cookie policy lists the details.

Your privacy rights (California — CCPA/CPRA)

California residents have the right to know what personal information a business collects, to request its deletion, to correct it, and to opt out of its sale or sharing. Because FoxStream collects so little, these rights are simple to honor:

  • Know/access: Ask us what we hold about you — for almost everyone, the answer is nothing beyond a contact-form message you sent.
  • Delete: Ask us to delete your contact-form messages and we will.
  • Correct: Ask us to fix inaccurate information.
  • Opt out of sale/sharing: Not applicable — we do not sell or share personal information, and we have not done so.
  • Non-discrimination: Exercising these rights never changes how the site treats you.

Submit a request through the contact page (choose "Privacy or data request") or by mail to FoxStream, 816 Brookside Dr, Lafayette, IN 47909. We verify requests using the email address you wrote from and respond within 45 days as the law requires.

Children's privacy

FoxStream is written for adults setting up home electronics. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Data security

The site is served over HTTPS, and the contact form is protected against spam and abuse. No method of transmission is perfectly secure, but minimizing what we collect is the strongest protection we can offer: data we don't have can't be breached.

Changes to this policy

If we ever change what we collect, this page will change first, with the effective date updated above. We will never introduce tracking silently.
